Die vorliegende CD enthält Kompositionen für Streichorchester, die in einem Zeitraum von vier Jahrzehnten entstanden sind. Unterschiede ergeben sich allein aus der zeitlichen Distanz. Typische Merkmale der Schwaen’schen Musik sind Kürze und Prägnanz, Ãœberschuabarkeit und eine durchsichtige, scheinbar rasch zu erfassende Struktur.
