Description
Introductory Notes
The Sonata for organ “Schaallu Schlom Jeruschalajim” was written between 26 September and 19 October 1981. Its title refers to the first three words of the sixth verse of Psalm 122 “Wisheth Jerusalem Peace”. The three movements are based on a tonal succession which interweaves the letters of the biblical words, in as much as they correspond to notational designations: E flat (German “Es”), C, B (German “H”), A/E.
