Description

The composition “El faro mágico” (“The magic lighthouse”) was inspired by the painting “Lighthouse in Palermo” by the Russian painter ­Maksim Vorobyov (1787–1855). The romantic contrast between the cold moonlight of the night and the warm fire of the lighthouse evokes contemplative memories and allows us to appreciate the happiness of the moment.
“El faro mágico” won the 1st prize at the 6th Acerra International Composition Competition and was premiered by the Italian guitarist Angelo Martines.
