Juergen Saalmann

Jürgen Saalmann is a master of presenting the classical concert guitar in a new, modern light. As one of the leading representatives of Ambient Cinematic Guitar Music, Saalmann is particularly characterised by his impressive works of New Music, which have been published by Edition Margaux. His compositions are not only impressive examples of modern guitar music, but also a testament to his innovative and experimental approach to music.

Saalmann has created an impressive collection of avant-garde guitar music with works such as “28 Days”, “Etna & Alaska” and “Klangskizzen 1-8”. His musical travel diary “28 Days” is a particularly outstanding example of his compositional skills. This collection of 28 pieces for classical guitar, written during a four-week trip through Denmark and Norway, captures the essence of the moment and the place. Saalmann’s ability to achieve maximum effect from minimal means is also evident in his experimental sound sketches and innovative toccata pieces, also published by Edition Margaux. Saalmann combines traditional guitar music with modern and avant-garde elements, offering a colourful spectrum of guitar music.
