Description

Soliloquy (a confidential conversation) makes use of the ametrical taqsim structure, drawn from the arabian musical tradition, used here as a scale in which just a few micro-intervals appear within the western tonality. The clarinet is reminiscient of the soloistic playing of the ancient Egyptian double-reed instruments.
