Description

This suite, consisting in three movements, was written while I was a student at the Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca. Recollection and Ballade- Impromptu, the fi rst two pieces, have been written in 1998 in my quest to conceive a work infused by the jazz infl uence. Two years later I completed the suite with it’s last movement which I entitled it Summer Breeze, due to the fact that I wrote it in a sunny day of May. At that time I managed to play this work in almost every concert I held in my country and since 2006 I shared it abroad in most of my public recitals. The suite ranges from the intermediate to diffi cult level because it is exploiting most of the technical and musical resources of the modern guitar and if fi ts very well for the possibilities of an advanced student or of a professional guitarist willing to discover a fresh and challenging work.
